<p data-path-to-node="0"><b data-path-to-node="5" data-index-in-node="9">Vivek R. Kele</b>, Founder and Director of Integrated Cargo Terminal Pvt. Ltd. (ICTPL) which operates the Globicon Container Freight Station at Nhava Sheva has been elected President of the <b data-path-to-node="5" data-index-in-node="195">Container Freight Stations Association of India (CFSAI)</b> at the association’s <b data-path-to-node="5" data-index-in-node="272">20th Annual General Meeting (AGM)</b> in Mumbai.</p><p data-path-to-node="6">Kele succeeds <b data-path-to-node="6" data-index-in-node="14">Suresh Kumar R</b>, former Managing Director at Allcargo Logistics, who recently relocated to Bengaluru. The general body formally placed on record its appreciation for Kumar’s stewardship during his tenure as President. Under Kele’s incoming leadership, CFSAI will maintain active engagement with port authorities, customs administrations, export-import trade bodies, and logistics stakeholders to address operational hurdles and drive policy advocacy across India's container freight station (CFS) network.</p><p data-path-to-node="7">CFSAI’s member network plays an indispensable role in India’s maritime supply chains, collectively handling over <b data-path-to-node="7" data-index-in-node="113">4.5 million TEUs</b> annually. Member facilities operate across key maritime clusters including Nhava Sheva (JNPA), Mundra, Chennai, and other major gateway ports providing essential customs bonded warehousing, stuffing and de-stuffing, container storage, and intermodal connectivity linking coastal gateways to the hinterland.</p><h3 data-path-to-node="9">Key Operational Highlights & Committee Constitution</h3><ul data-path-to-node="10"><li><p data-path-to-node="10,0,0"><b data-path-to-node="10,0,0" data-index-in-node="0">Executive Leadership Appointments:</b> V. Padmanabhan and Capt. Nishit Joshi will continue serving as Senior Vice Presidents, while Percy Vapiwala retains his role as Vice President.</p></li><li><p data-path-to-node="10,1,0"><b data-path-to-node="10,1,0" data-index-in-node="0">Managing Committee Additions:</b> The newly constituted Managing Committee sees the induction of Captain Alpesh Abhaay Sharma (Chief Operating Officer, JM Baxi Ports & Logistics) and Santosh Shetty (Conex CFS). Capt. Sunny Williams, Capt. Navjit Grewal, and Bhaven Thacker continue as committee members.</p></li><li><p data-path-to-node="10,2,0"><b data-path-to-node="10,2,0" data-index-in-node="0">Advisory Board Expansion:</b> Former CFSAI President George Joseph has been appointed to the association’s Advisory Board alongside industry stalwarts Naresh Parekh, Adarsh Hegde, and Admiral Anand Kalaskar to offer strategic oversight.</p></li><li><p data-path-to-node="10,3,0"><b data-path-to-node="10,3,0" data-index-in-node="0">Focus on Regulatory & Port Chapters:</b> Specialized working groups including the Legal and Finance Committees, alongside dedicated regional bodies like the CFSAI Mundra Chapter will drive streamlined port-gate procedures, tariff transparency, and automated gate processing.</p></li><li><p data-path-to-node="10,4,0"><b data-path-to-node="10,4,0" data-index-in-node="0">Strategic Sector Mandate:</b> The new leadership team will prioritize operational digitization, ease of doing business at terminal gates, faster customs cargo clearance protocols, and infrastructure integration aligned with national logistics efficiency targets.</p></li></ul>
