Under the partnership, CESL will plan, install, and service standardized public and commercial charging facilities to support the rapid transition of the port’s operational vehicle fleet, container drayage trucks, and private user vehicles from fossil fuels to clean electric power.</p><h3 data-path-to-node="8">Key Operational Highlights & Infrastructure Framework</h3><ul data-path-to-node="9"><li><p data-path-to-node="9,0,0"><b data-path-to-node="9,0,0" data-index-in-node="0">Dedicated Clean Energy Transition:</b> The agreement establishes a coordinated deployment model under which CESL will engineer and install fast DC chargers, heavy-duty commercial vehicle charging points, and modular battery-swapping bays across strategic nodes within the JNPA operational harbor and logistics corridors.</p></li><li><p data-path-to-node="9,1,0"><b data-path-to-node="9,1,0" data-index-in-node="0">Electrifying Quayside and Drayage Operations:</b> The infrastructure blueprint prioritizes electrifying heavy-duty internal movement vehicles (ITVs), multi-axle drayage trailers, operational pickups, and administrative fleets shuttling between the five container terminals, inland container yards, and centralized parking plazas.</p></li><li><p data-path-to-node="9,2,0"><b data-path-to-node="9,2,0" data-index-in-node="0">Targeting High-Velocity Battery Swapping:</b> To minimize turnaround delays for round-the-clock logistics operators, the rollout includes quick-swap battery infrastructure tailored for commercial fleets, enabling zero tailpipe-emission drayage trucks to replace depleted packs in minutes and maintain seamless terminal flows.</p></li><li><p data-path-to-node="9,3,0"><b data-path-to-node="9,3,0" data-index-in-node="0">Alignment with Harit Sagar & Maritime India Vision 2030:</b> By actively displacing diesel-powered equipment and reducing idle emissions around gate complexes and parking plazas, the initiative directly contributes to JNPA's target of cutting operational carbon emissions and developing a sustainable, zero-emission port perimeter.</p></li><li><p data-path-to-node="9,4,0"><b data-path-to-node="9,4,0" data-index-in-node="0">Scalable Public-Private Clean Mobility Framework:</b> The charging points will also cater to external logistics vendors, customs brokers, container freight station (CFS) operators, and daily commuters traversing the JNPA port city area, fostering an integrated clean-mobility corridor across the Nhava Sheva logistics belt.</p></li></ul>
