<p data-path-to-node="2">The Customs Department has revoked the operational suspension imposed on the <b data-path-to-node="2" data-index-in-node="98">Dronagiri Rail Terminal (DRT) Container Freight Station (CFS)</b>, operated by state-owned <b data-path-to-node="2" data-index-in-node="185">Container Corporation of India Ltd (CONCOR)</b> near Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA).</p><p data-path-to-node="3">Issued via a public notice by the Jawaharlal Nehru Custom House (JNCH), the revocation restores CONCOR-DRT’s approval as a <b data-path-to-node="3" data-index-in-node="123">Customs Cargo Service Provider (CCSP)</b> with immediate effect, allowing the key rail-linked facility to resume fresh import-export cargo receipts and clearance operations.</p><h3 data-path-to-node="5">Key Operational Highlights & Industry Relief</h3><ul data-path-to-node="6"><li><p data-path-to-node="6,0,0"><b data-path-to-node="6,0,0" data-index-in-node="0">Suspension Trigger:</b> Customs had suspended the facility’s CCSP license following inspections that cited security deficiencies and cargo theft concerns under the Handling of Cargo in Customs Areas Regulations (HCCAR), 2009.</p></li><li><p data-path-to-node="6,1,0"><b data-path-to-node="6,1,0" data-index-in-node="0">Restoration of EXIM Operations:</b> With the revocation order, the facility can immediately accept new export and import consignments, relieving operational bottleneck pressure on adjacent freight stations and EXIM logistics channels serving JNPA.</p></li><li><p data-path-to-node="6,2,0"><b data-path-to-node="6,2,0" data-index-in-node="0">Critical Intermodal Infrastructure:</b> Spread over <b data-path-to-node="6,2,0" data-index-in-node="48">59 acres</b>, the Dronagiri Rail Terminal handles approximately <b data-path-to-node="6,2,0" data-index-in-node="108">14,000 TEUs monthly</b> and operates <b data-path-to-node="6,2,0" data-index-in-node="141">90 to 100 freight rakes per month</b>.</p></li><li><p data-path-to-node="6,3,0"><b data-path-to-node="6,3,0" data-index-in-node="0">High-Capacity Warehousing Asset:</b> The terminal houses 35,640 square meters of EXIM warehousing, 4,200 square meters of domestic storage, and 2,000 square meters of bonded warehouse space served by three dedicated rail lines.</p></li></ul>
