NEW DELHI — In a major development enhancing India’s multimodal transport network, Air India SATS Airport Services Private Limited (AISATS) has officially entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Concor Air Limited (a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Container Corporation of India - CONCOR).

The partnership is designed to establish a seamless, high-velocity air-rail transit corridor by linking CONCOR’s major Inland Container Depot (ICD) at Dadri directly with AISATS' Integrated Cargo Terminal at the newly emerging Noida International Airport (NIA).

Bridging Inland Freight and International Air Hubs

Under the newly established framework, customs-cleared transshipment cargo arriving or originating at the strategic Dadri container hub will be seamlessly moved and handled for rapid onward international dispatch via air. Dadri serves as a vital inland freight convergence point, enjoying direct connectivity to western maritime gateways like Nhava Sheva and Mundra Port through the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC).

By integrating this heavy rail-connected inland network with the state-of-the-art multi-modal cargo hub at Noida International Airport—which spans an 87-acre footprint equipped with advanced cold-chain, perishable storage, and electronic processing zones—the collaboration closes a critical gap in India's EXIM supply chain.

Executive Perspectives

Highlighting the significance of the agreement, Ramanathan Rajamani, CEO of AISATS, stated:

"Noida International Airport is fast emerging as a critical gateway for international air cargo, and this partnership strengthens that ambition by deepening our connectivity with inland freight networks. Working with Concor Air Limited allows us to build a more seamless link between inland logistics and international dispatch."

Narmadeshwar Jha, CEO of Concor Air Limited, added:

"By closing the gap between our container depot at Dadri and the international gateway at Noida, we're able to offer exporters and shippers a faster, more reliable pathway for customs-cleared cargo. As India's logistics infrastructure continues to scale, partnerships like this one will be central to building the speed and dependability our customers expect."

Industry stakeholders note that combining CONCOR’s extensive rail-linked inland infrastructure with AISATS' specialized terminal management will substantially compress transit turnaround times, lower inventory holding overheads, and reinforce India’s export competitiveness for high-value manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, perishables, and e-commerce goods.
