<p data-path-to-node="5">Advancing the decarbonization of heavy commercial transport, <b data-path-to-node="5" data-index-in-node="88">Container Corporation of India Ltd (CONCOR)</b>, in collaboration with <b data-path-to-node="5" data-index-in-node="155">Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL)</b>, has commissioned the National Capital Region’s (NCR) first in-house Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) dispensing station at its Multi-Modal Logistics Park (MMLP) in Dadri, Gautam Buddha Nagar.</p><p data-path-to-node="6">Inaugurated by CONCOR Chairman and Managing Director <b data-path-to-node="6" data-index-in-node="53">Sanjay Swarup</b> alongside IGL Managing Director <b data-path-to-node="6" data-index-in-node="99">Kumar Shanker</b>, the <b data-path-to-node="6" data-index-in-node="118">₹11.8 crore</b> facility is engineered to refuel 50 to 60 heavy commercial vehicles per day. The initiative represents a key operational step in transitioning first- and last-mile container drayage to lower-emission alternative fuels across major North Indian freight corridors.</p><h3 data-path-to-node="8"><b data-path-to-node="8" data-index-in-node="0">Technical Infrastructure, Operational Gains, and Green Freight Alignment</b></h3><p data-path-to-node="9">The dedicated refueling infrastructure supports cleaner fleet operations across CONCOR's inland terminal network:</p><ul data-path-to-node="10"><li><p data-path-to-node="10,0,0"><b data-path-to-node="10,0,0" data-index-in-node="0">High-Capacity Dispensing Setup:</b> Spanning over 4,200 square meters, the company-owned, company-operated (COCO) facility features a 56.8 KL (approx. 22 MT) LNG storage tank, a 150 LPM dispenser, and a 100 SCMH LP vaporizer.</p></li><li><p data-path-to-node="10,1,0"><b data-path-to-node="10,1,0" data-index-in-node="0">Integrated Fleet Refueling:</b> Developed through an operational agreement with IGL, the station provides uninterrupted fuel supply for CONCOR’s fleet of LNG-powered commercial trailers and third-party heavy transport trucks operating out of the Dadri MMLP.</p></li><li><p data-path-to-node="10,2,0"><b data-path-to-node="10,2,0" data-index-in-node="0">Reducing First- and Last-Mile Emissions:</b> Compared to conventional diesel, LNG-powered heavy vehicles yield lower emissions of carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxides, sulfur oxides, and particulate matter, significantly reducing the carbon footprint of long-haul container haulage.</p></li><li><p data-path-to-node="10,3,0"><b data-path-to-node="10,3,0" data-index-in-node="0">Boosting Terminal Turnaround Efficiency:</b> Establishing dedicated, in-house refueling capabilities inside the logistics park allows transport operators to refuel during loading and discharge cycles, cutting off-site travel time and speeding up cargo evacuation.</p></li></ul>
