Unveiled during the Global Wind Day Conference in Goa, the system stands as the country’s first-ever dedicated digital platform built to trace, audit, and optimize the wind energy manufacturing value chain from component source to final project site.</p><p data-path-to-node="3">Developed by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) in direct collaboration with the Indian Wind Turbine Manufacturers Association (IWTMA), the centralized platform arrives as the sector targets a monumental milestone of 100 gigawatts (GW) of installed wind capacity by 2030.</p><h3 data-path-to-node="5"><b data-path-to-node="5" data-index-in-node="0">End-to-End Traceability and Sourcing Compliance</b></h3><p data-path-to-node="6">The architectural design of the WT-MARUT portal is engineered to convert highly fragmented supplier logs into an integrated, transparent digital ledger.</p><ul data-path-to-node="7"><li><p data-path-to-node="7,0,0"><b data-path-to-node="7,0,0" data-index-in-node="0">Component Tracking Lifecycle:</b> The system enables end-to-end tracking of critical wind turbine sub-assemblies including high-yield nacelles, advanced gearboxes, structural towers, and composite blades from factory floors straight to geographic project sites.</p></li><li><p data-path-to-node="7,1,0"><b data-path-to-node="7,1,0" data-index-in-node="0">Enforcing the ALMM Framework:</b> The portal directly assists clean-energy developers in identifying certified local suppliers, streamlining strict procurement compliance under the government’s Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) regulations.</p></li><li><p data-path-to-node="7,2,0"><b data-path-to-node="7,2,0" data-index-in-node="0">Secure In-Country Data Hosting:</b> To insulate the domestic renewable sector from geopolitical volatility and corporate espionage, all trade data, supplier qualifications, and logistics mapping are securely hosted within Indian server architectures.</p></li></ul><h3 data-path-to-node="9"><b data-path-to-node="9" data-index-in-node="0">Capitalizing on Record Growth and Export Potential</b></h3><p data-path-to-node="10">The launch of the digital tracking platform aligns with a period of historic expansion for India's wind infrastructure. The country logged a record-breaking 6.1 GW of new wind capacity installations during FY 2025-26, reflecting an aggressive 46% year-on-year increase and securing India's rank as the world's fourth-largest wind energy market.</p><p data-path-to-node="11">According to an industry intelligence report released alongside the portal, India's exports of specialized wind turbines and structural sub-components surged past ₹12,000 crore in the same fiscal window marking a nearly 50% year-on-year jump. With India possessing an estimated unharnessed wind potential of 1,164 GW and roughly 24 GW of active annual domestic manufacturing capability, Minister Joshi emphasized that tech-driven tools like WT-MARUT will position Indian equipment manufacturers to comfortably capture up to 20% of the global wind turbine export market by 2040.</p><h3 data-path-to-node="13"></h3>
