Corporation of India (CONCOR) has delivered a stellar performance for the

2025–26 fiscal year, recording robust growth across its cargo handling and

overall operational throughput. Driven by aggressive infrastructure expansion,

high-impact strategic partnerships, and a rapidly evolving international

footprint, the state-owned logistics behemoth handled an impressive 5.58

million TEUs (Twenty-foot Equivalent Units) during the fiscal. This represents

a substantial 9.56% year-on-year surge compared to the 5.09 million TEUs

managed in the previous financial year. Accompanying this volume spike,

CONCOR’s total tonnage capacity witnessed an upward trajectory, climbing 5.57%

to reach 68.02 million tonnes, up from 64.43 million tonnes in the preceding fiscal

cycle, signaling strong macroeconomic momentum and heightened industrial

demand.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,serif">The fiscal

year's standout milestone is a pioneering move that promises to fundamentally

reshape India’s maritime ecosystem. In an aggressive push toward integrated

logistics, CONCOR has finalized a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to

establish the Bharat Container Shipping Line (BCSL). Proposed as the nation’s

very first dedicated domestic container shipping line, this venture is poised

to break India's traditional reliance on foreign liner capacities, keeping

coastal and international trade revenues closer to home. By bridging the gap

between rail freight networks and coastal shipping routes, BCSL will offer a

seamless multimodal transit network that significantly lowers logistics

overheads for Indian traders.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,serif">Simultaneously,

the logistics major has made significant strides in globalizing its operations

by officially extending its footprint into the United Arab Emirates. As part of

its newly deployed overseas strategy, CONCOR is now utilizing its own proprietary

containers to streamline Middle Eastern trade lanes and enhance multimodal

cargo services. This deep structural integration with Gulf logistics hubs not

only fortifies the Indo-UAE trade corridor but also ensures a reliable,

direct-channel supply chain that protects Indian exporters from unpredictable

global container shortages. As the firm enters the new fiscal calendar, this

double-engine strategy of launching a sovereign shipping line and capturing

overseas markets positions CONCOR as a dominant multinational force in global

supply chain logistics.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
